Hi Jane, It was fantastic of you to turn up at ‘The Five’s’ exhibition In the David Hughes Centre, Beaumaris, on my birthday yesterday, with card in hand too! I hadn’t seen you in such a long time and missed our chats. It was very nice of you to say the things you did about the exhibition, and my work in particular. You never know perhaps some ‘proper’ Gallery may well take my work on! lol. Now to your own work. I do love your smoked pieces, always have (a weakness of mine), as you well know. I also liked your idea of the broken shells being perfect, with just a hint of a flaw in them. Although literal in concept I do know you better and, the suggestion of art imitating life is never very far away. Your attention to detail is exemplary and, I do know the amount of work you will be putting into each piece and, therefore, I do hope your prices reflect this. I’m glad you took my advise and approached these galleries, your work needs to be seen, and now is. Well done you! Now the work begins. . . lol See you Wednesday kid. xgwil .
Thank you Gwil! It was so good to chat with you again, as I too have missed them….here’s to the next one! So pleased you like my work and the meaning behind it, they say artists put a small part of themselves onto a canvas, or into the clay…I think you and I are fine examples of that! I shall be looking forward to hearing your next steps to getting yourself ‘out there’ so to speak. See you Wednesday, Jx
